I'm at work again. On my way out the door yesterday the Director of my department asked me to come in and work on a project for her. I had already signed up for overtime to help out another area that is backlogged. She asked me if I could give an additional 4 hours to her project. Who am I to say no to extra money. Besides all I would have been doing at this time of morning is watching "Sell this house" or some show like that. Ill be here for 10 hours today. Ill be home in time to catch the Husker game.

Last night Jeffy, our friend Cory and his girlfriend Stephanie went to Red Lobster we had the Endless Shrimp. MMM, it was yummy. I love shrimp scampi. I also had fried shrimp and coconut shrimp bites as well as Shrimp linguini alfredo. We were so stuffed by the time we left that even Jeffy, who always tells me "dont over eat, everything in moderation" was complaining he was in pain from eating too much. LOL. The waiter even brought take out boxes for the plethora of left over shrimp we had on the table. I took it home to Mikey and he pratically had his own endless shrimp dinner.

Well I better get to work and earn the time 1/2 pay. Hope y'all have a great weekend. :hugsflist:

I just dont know whats wrong with me. This morning when I wanted a snack I had about 3 banana chips. And for lunch today I had a salad with lite ranch dressing, for protein I had boiled eggs, cheese and sunflower seed. The worst thing Ive done today is drink about 1/2 a bottle of coke. I dont know who this person is that chose my menu for today but tomorrow Im getting back on track. Probably a burger, some fries and soda for lunch. Then for snacks Ill have to replenish my chocolate supply to take care of that need.

My son's ghetto ass friends.

So unbelievable, they asked it they could borrow and extra long outdoor extension cord. Can you guess where this is going???? They got their power shut off so they are hoping to run a cord to the apartment below them so they can use the neighbors power. We dont have what they were asking for and I guess they borrowed it from someone else. My son went to visit his friends and said the neighbor below them wouldnt let them plug in their extension cord. I'll say it again, these ghetto ass people ran their extension cord from their apartment to the outlet that housekeeping uses to vacuum the hallways of the buildings.

We live in a complex with security doors. Management is up on their jobs and catches this soon. My thinking is "Im sorry son, you cant pay your utilities because you cant hold a job then you learn to do without."

That may sound cold. Ive had services cut off before, and we just lived without until I could make it to the utility company to rectify the problem.

Uggh!

 

It’s already been one of those days.  I’ve had a bottle of coke and a large cup of coke, and I’m still thirsty. I can’t find a comfortable position at my desk.  My chair is too high or too low. The temperature is too warm to wear a coat but to cool not to. I can’t get my keyboard in the right position. My jaw is hurting for some reason. I don't want to be at work today.

I could go on, wahhh, wahhh, wahhh.

I so want to go on a shopping spree. Buy all kinds of stuff. Spend money like theres no limits and no tomorrow. Unfortunately when I look in my wallet I have approximately $7. That doesnt make for a very fun shopping spree. Unless I went to the dollar store. I wonder if that would satisfy my need.

Yes, gentlemen when a girl talks about shopping it is a NEED not a want.

A few days ago we went shopping because I needed new work out shoes. While there I found a really cute pair of flip flops and it was on clearance too! How could I pass it by? My son took a look at it and said "Mama, thats too high. Your gonna fall off of it." I scoffed at him and stated "Puleeeez, do you have any idea the kinds of shoes I wear all the time? I KNOW how to walk in heels!!  The gall of my son to even insinuate that I might fall off of high shoes.

Fast forward to today. Donald and I are walking to the car as we head home for lunch. He is telling me a story about the project he's working on.  We are engrossed in conversation when suddenly the ankle wobbles ever so slightly and boom. I take my best sliding for home plate pose and with full body extension, well as much as a 4'11 girl can muster I hit the ground. Body one way purse the other.

I hit the ground so hard I swear it was measurable on the richter scale.  Now I have scraped elbows and knees. OWWWW

My son has been struggling lately. He is out of money to complete his Marketing degree. His job and class schedule was clashing and the company provided no flexibility. Ultimately, he dropped out of school and lost his job. He was living with his girlfriend and they subsequently split up. All of these things have come to a head in the past several weeks.

He signed up to join the Navy and was working to make the weight requirement. He was finally at weight when he and his girlfriend broke up and he has been homeless for the past 2 weeks. My poor baby :(

He finally called me and asked for my help. Next Tuesday Im flying him here to Omaha to live with me. I told him come home and Mama will take care of you until you get back on your feet.

I told him he might blow his weight again eating Mama's cooking.

Wednesday  started off as a good day. Woke up early, got to work early. After work had a mani and pedi done and was gonna spend the evening watching my reality shows. I get home and surprise, surprise I have a do not trespass sign on my door and my locks have been changed. It appears Im being evicted. But wait, thats not the end of it. As Im standing at my door trying to understand the what, why and how I hear my Oscar barking for me to rescue him.

Its almost 7pm by this point and the leasing office is closed. I call the number on the eviction notice and its to the leasing office, Im told to leave a message and someone will call me back during business hours.  Well thats not gonna work,  I call back again and press the option for maintenance, maybe they can help me. But wait they have the answering machine on and someone will "get back with me" I have to find someone to help me because I need to rescue my doggie.

I call yet again and press the leasing question option. I get the answering service who informs me they dont handle lock outs. I explain to him this is not a lock out, Im being evicted and my doggie is locked inside the apartment, not to mention my diabetic meds. I finally gain sympathy and they will page maintenance. When maintenance finally arrives he shows up with the Humane Society, and they want to verify who I am before they let me have my doggie.  Well once they open the door theres no doubt that Oscar is my baby. I get my doggie, my meds and he allows me to pack an overnight bag for myself and Sammy.

I make a few more phone calls and find a place to crash. Then yesterday, I went to the leasing office to find out what the deal was. Turns out my rent check last month bounced, so that made me 1 month back. I dont recall seeing any notice that there was a problem. Then when I paid the rent this month they didnt accept it because I was 1 month back and they only accept full not partial payments.

I run to the bank, get the certified check made out, when all is said and done it was $1725.06 . Of course with everything on my mind I make out the check for $1775.06  Turns out I have to pay a lock change fee and it is $50 so without knowing it I have all my bases covered.

Luckily for me I have it all taken care of and Oscar, Sammy and I have not joined the ranks of the homeless. Yet...

I've so unmotivated to write or share anything lately. I have been the busy little bee lately. Both at work and home. I just got to the point where I was feeling almost no one really cares about it anyway. Does that mean Im depressed? Possibly, Im not sure.

I invited Donald and his Dad over for Easter lunch yesterday, I made a simple lunch of ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, gravys and a salad. Nothing tasted good to me. I dont think my oven is getting hot enough. Ill have to have maintenance check it out.

We had a nice relaxing afternoon. We watched the Formula One race and Kimi took 1st place. Then we watched Pros vs Joes and had some fun with that.

Oh, last week I saw Horton hears a Who. Cute movie, I think one of the better interpretations of a Dr Seuss book made.

Well, its off to the grind for me. Its been so busy for me at work lately its not even funny.
